The singer has filed a lawsuit against a landscaping company, alleging that their renovations on her house led to damages in her home. Some of the alleged damages include water leaking into her home after building a deck attached to the second-floor of her house.
The lawsuit also includes allegations of consumer fraud, saying that the landscaping company did not get the proper building permits before working at her home. The lawsuit also claims that the company was not registered as a home improvement contractor in New Jersey when they provided services.
What specific issues led to the singer filing the lawsuit? The singer claims that after the company did renovations to her home, water leaked into her home and there was water damage to the sills and supports of the second-story deck that led to mold. The company tried to repair the damages but the lawsuit claims the company’s attempts were unsuccessful and the singer’s property still had significant damage.
The lawsuit says that the deck needs to be replaced to repair and prevent any further damage to the property.
This case is an example of the legal action individuals or businesses can take against a company for faulty or negligent work that results in property damage and consumer fraud.
